The History Of The Batman:

The Golden Age Batman was first introduced to the world in Detective Comics #27 in May of 1939. He is distinctive from nearly all other super heroes of the time in that he does not have any super powers but in its place relies upon enhanced training and brain power (along with some pretty sweet gadgets!). He is known as the world’s greatest detective. He makes his home in Gotham City and is the nighttime identity of millionaire playboy Bruce Wayne. Wayne took up the mantle of the Batman since devoting his life to battling crime upon seeing the murder of his parents. Realizing that most criminals are cowardly and superstitious, he decided to fashion his crime-fighting Batman costume after a dark creature of the night, a bat, in order to instill fear into all criminals he may encounter. The initial told origin of the Batman was in Detective Comics issue #33 in November, 1939. The first in depth origin of the Batman was told in Batman issue #47 in June/July in the year 1948. The origin has been adapted slightly over the years, in spite of this, the fundamental facts have remained the same. Batman sure has had his bit of deadly enemies, the a large amount notorious being the Joker, Penguin, Two-Face, and our female favorite  the sexy Catwoman. Although Catwoman was a nemesis of Batman, she was yet at times a love interest and crime fighter. One of the hallmarks of the Batman is the distinctive crime fighting gadgets he has made. Perhaps best known are the subsequent items: The Bat Utility Belt, the infamous Batcave, the classic Batmobile, the Batplane, the Batarang, The building scaling Batrope, The Batgyro, the quick Batcycle, the Batboat, the historic Bat Signal, and many other Batman paraphernalia.
